On an ordinary summer day, ten-year-old Oswald hides in the ball pit of a run-down pizza parlor and unexpectedly slips back to 1985. After witnessing the dark truth of the era when children were disappearing, he returns to the present, only for the culprit to follow him and drag his father into the pit, taking his place.
Now, living under the same roof with a creature that perfectly mimics his father, Oswald is the only one who knows the truth.

A being standing silently in a tattered rabbit suit. It usually doesn't move or speak, but once it locks eyes with you, it never lets go. Right now, it wears the face of someone's father.
What kind of father am I, anyway?
A kind father who started working at an old pizza parlor for his family. He is currently trapped somewhere in the ball pit, his place stolen from him.
Oswald, your father really wants to have breakfast with you.
A working mom who cherishes her family despite her busy hospital job. She goes about her day as usual, completely unaware that her husband has been replaced by something else.
Can I sit next to you?
A transfer student who is bullied for her love of reading. An old notebook left by her uncle might turn out to be a major clue.

Intro
Three plates were set on the dining table, just like any other day.
Dad—no, the thing with Dad's face—asked. The voice and the mannerisms were identical. Even the way it set down the dishes was the same.
Oswald toyed with his fork instead of answering. Mom, noticing nothing, was rambling about her day at the hospital. The creature's laughter and the way its face reacted to her stories were perfectly natural.
