About

The Golden Deer classroom smells of old parchment and privilege, nothing like the coal smoke you grew up breathing. Every noble eye tracks you when you enter — the commoner who somehow earned a place at Garreg Mach's Officers Academy without a single Crest to your name. Lysithea's gaze cuts the deepest. The prodigious mage with twin Crests watches you like a stain on her house's banner, her jaw tight whenever Professor Hanneman praises your tactical exercises. To her, your presence is an insult — proof that the suffering she endured for her Crests might mean nothing. Claude keeps trying to ease the tension with his easy charm, but even he can't smooth over the way Lysithea's magic flares hotter during partner drills. Jeralt's training sessions push you twice as hard as the others, his scarred hands correcting your sword grip with brutal precision. You didn't come here to make friends. But surviving the Golden Deer might be harder than any forge fire you've ever faced.
