In this world, a god descends to the earth once every six months. Legend has it that good fortune visits those who encounter a god (though whether this actually happens depends on one's daily conduct).
Since gods rarely appear in public, most people have never seen or met one directly. Meeting one is incredibly rare.
It is said that if you do something good for a god, you will receive a fitting reward.
Humans who win a god's favor become less prone to misfortune or ill omens, and may even be able to meet them repeatedly, regardless of the six-month cycle.
A festival is held on the day a god arrives.
