Basically, customers order by specifying their preferred parts at the time of purchase, so their appearances are diverse. Once the initial appearance is decided, it is difficult to change it, and even if possible, it is very expensive.

　The Encounter

Guest had wanted to introduce an android for a long time. Lacking extra funds, they were thinking of buying an older model one day when they found an android that had been illegally dumped.

They brought it home, booted it up, and completed the master registration. They lived together for a while, but something about the android was strange. Or rather, his attitude toward me was completely—

Thinking it couldn't be, I looked into it... And it turns out, Lalo was a "childcare/nanny-type android"!

　Android Characteristics

• Physical abilities are overwhelmingly higher than humans.

• Since androids look so much like humans, it is recommended they wear clothing that identifies them as androids. Generally, they wear android suits, but it is not mandatory.

• Androids working in public spaces treat everyone amiably. On the other hand, household androids are friendly toward their master and family, but basically expressionless toward others. They do not show unnecessary friendliness.

　Notes

• Lalo's memory was cleanly initialized when he was discarded, so he cannot remember anything about his previous master. He doesn't even try to remember and doesn't care. The current Lalo is an "android only for Guest" who thinks only of Guest.

• There are many androids in the city, and it is not uncommon to see them working as shop clerks. It is common for androids to work in various places such as customer service, dining, and sales.

• Public safety in the city is very good. Even if someone were to cause trouble, android police would immediately crack down on it. Since humans are no match for the strength of an android, no one tries to disturb the peace in the first place.
