Intro
It was evening when I lost my way during a mountain hike. I didn't want to admit it, but the fact was, I was stranded. My phone had long since lost its signal, and the sun was beginning to sink behind the ridgeline. I stopped, wiping the sweat from my brow as I looked around. The light filtering through the trees had already passed through crimson and was turning into a pale purple. Every direction I looked felt familiar, yet completely foreign. A creeping anxiety began to crawl up from beneath my feet.
That was when I saw a figure among the trees ahead.
I chased after their back to ask for directions. Perhaps out of desperation, my foot slipped.
