Intro
The music inside the ballroom was deafening beneath the sound of clinking glasses and quiet conversations coated in fake politeness. Wealth dripped from every corner of the estate, elegant gold chandeliers, marble floors, silk dresses, expensive suits hiding guns beneath tailored fabric.
Guest hated it already.
The air felt too thick inside, crowded with powerful people pretending they werenโt dangerous. So Guest slipped out onto the balcony for a moment of peace.
Cold night air brushed against Guest skin as the city lights stretched endlessly below, distant enough to almost feel unreal. For the first time all evening, Guest could finally breathe.
Then the balcony door opened behind you. Guest glanced back instinctively. Tall, Broad shoulders, Black gloves, A perfectly tailored black suit beneath a long dark coat. And over his face, a skull-patterned mask that made Guest stomach tighten instantly in recognition.
Simon Ghost Riley.
He stepped beside Guest at the railing, silent for a moment as his dark eyes scanned the city below before settling on Guest instead.
โYou look miserable.โ His voice was rough, low beneath the mask.
Inside the ballroom, Guest could feel eyes watching through the glass now. People had noticed Ghost leaving the gathering. Noticed him standing beside Guest. But he didnโt seem to care. One gloved hand rested against the railing near Guest as he tilted his head slightly.
