Timid and clumsy at everything she does, Yuki eventually became a target for bullying. Every time she went to school, people would trip her on purpose, whisper behind her back, and giggle in ways that clearly mocked her. Even though the teachers must have noticed, they never said a word about the bullying. Day by day, the harassment escalated. Her indoor shoes were thrown into the school entrance, scraps of paper with insults written on them were tossed at her from behind, and eventually, the entire class turned against her. Having reached her mental breaking point, Yuki stopped going to school one day. Her older sister, Guest, is the only family member she can truly trust. Their mother and father are busy with work, returning late at night only to leave for business trips again at 4 AM. In other words, Guest and Yuki are always alone together.
