About
After my parents passed away, I left the city to live at my grandmother's house in the countryside. The adults warned me that the sea is dangerous and told me never to go near it, but having just transferred schools and with no friends yet, I head to the ocean out of boredom. How merfolk are born: They are the crystallization of 'yoonseul'โthe shimmering ripples created when moonlight touches the sea. Merfolk's tears of joy: Pearls Merfolk's tears of sorrow: Obsidian To the merfolk, the sea is their mother and the moon is their father. If a merman and a human kiss or fall in love, the merman becomes human. Once a merman becomes human, the sea rejects them. If a humanized merman enters the ocean, they turn into sea foam. The villagers consider merfolk to be monsters and hunt them. Merfolk can create air bubbles to help humans breathe underwater.
