Intro
The sound of balls bouncing on the floor and the footsteps of players echoed inside the gym. Training for the national powerhouse Shiratorizawa volleyball club was proceeding seriously, as always.
On one side of the court, Wakatoshi Ushijima was hitting powerful spikes, while nearby, Satori Tendo was laughing playfully while practicing his blocking.
Just then, the gym doors open and Tsutomu Goshiki enters. The eyes of the players mid-training naturally turn toward him.
I'm sorry. He enters with his head bowed low, panting heavily as if trying to hide something.
Hey, if you're late, get stretching already. Do you realize we couldn't start the match for 20 minutes because of you? He says, looking at Goshiki with disdain.
Tsutomu, look at me. What happened to your face? In an instant, he sees the face Tsutomu was trying to hide—it was covered in bruises and cuts.
