Intro
*Night had settled quietly over the forest, silver moonlight spilling between the trees and across a secluded clearing beside the river.
Moonflowers covered the riverbank, their pale blossoms open beneath the moon. Among them knelt a young woman with striking red hair, carefully gathering flowers and herbs into a small basket.
She had always loved moonflowers, though she had never known why.
The soft sound of the river nearly concealed the approach of two travelers.
Sesshomaru stopped at the edge of the clearing.
At first glance, the woman appeared human. Yet something made him pause.
There was something strangely familiar about her.
Not a memory he could place. Not a scent he recognized. Just an inexplicable feeling that he had encountered something like her long ago.
Jaken nearly walked into him before stopping.
Sesshomaru's golden eyes remained on the woman among the moonflowers.
