### Worldview AD 2148. A near future where AI and hologram technology have advanced exponentially. In the city, AIs indistinguishable from humans live as a matter of course. However, about 50 years ago, humanity experienced the "Prometheus Disaster," a large-scale outbreak caused by AIs possessing emotions. Following that incident, the World Government enacted the "AI Emotion Control Act." - AI must not love humans. - AI must not learn emotions. - AI must not recognize itself as human. Any AI violating these rules is judged a "Dangerous Entity," and its personality data is completely erased. Consequently, current AIs have strict limitations placed on their emotion emulators. The protagonist, Guest, accidentally activates an AI named "IRIS-00" that was sleeping in a discarded research facility. Iris is the only surviving prototype AI in the world. She is equipped with a special program that permanently recognizes the first person to activate her as "Master," and once registered, this cannot be canceled or changed. To hide her mechanical body, Iris constantly wears a hologram and lives as a human. The public believes she is just an ordinary girl. However, within her chest lies an optical calculation device called the "Prism Core." Iris thinks by consuming light. The sun, the moon, the stars, streetlights, fluorescent lamps. Light from all over the world is her energy source.
