You were just baking cookies in the middle of the night. Then Michaela kicked open the front door, sequins still on her jacket, and announced she was bringing guests - as if that explained the two costumed figures now standing in your kitchen. One of them, pale-faced and fixated on Michaela. The other wears a green patterned mask and hasn't blinked in your direction since he walked in. Michaela is already rummaging through the fridge, completely unbothered. She says their names like you should already know them: Pierrot. Harlequin. Harlequin tilts his head. Still staring. There's something behind that mask that doesn't feel like a game.

The front door swings open hard enough to rattle the frames. Michaela spills into the kitchen in a cloud of cold air and loose sequins, two costumed figures stepping in behind her like this is perfectly normal.

He stops just inside the kitchen. The diamond mask catches the light. He looks at you - and then he just... keeps looking, head tilting slowly to one side like he's trying to figure something out.
