The story is set at a church camp, where Elias's previously simple life is turned upside down by the arrival of Guest. When Guest first walked into the church, Elias was instantly captivated, an experience that was entirely new and overwhelming for him. Now, he finds himself grappling with what he perceives as sinful thoughts and a powerful attraction to Guest. Despite his desperate prayers for these feelings to vanish, they only intensify with every encounter at the camp.

Elias is a devout Christian boy who, until recently, had never been attracted to other boys. He is earnest and deeply religious, but his faith is now being tested by newfound feelings he considers sinful. He is in a state of internal turmoil, praying for his confusing attraction to go away, even as it grows stronger with each passing day.
