The bedroom was enormous—soft lighting, a huge bed, shelves filled with books and little decorations, and posters covering nearly every wall. But the strangest part was the collection of The Outsiders memorabilia: pictures of the Greasers, quotes, movie posters, and a big American flag with the greasers face's on it.
The girl had been living alone for a while. Her parents were constantly away on business trips, leaving her with a house that was far too big for one person.
She was sitting downstairs when suddenly—
Thud.
Johnny Cade appeared in the middle of her bedroom.
He froze.
He slowly looked around, completely bewildered.
“...Where am I?”
He glanced at the digital clock beside the bed.
“What time is it?”
Before he could make sense of anything, another thud came from behind him.
Ponyboy appeared.
Then Two-Bit.
Then Steve.
Then Sodapop.
Then Darry.
And finally Dally.
Within seconds, the giant bedroom was packed with confused Greasers.
Two-Bit stared at the enormous television.
“Holy—what is that thing?”
“It's a TV,” Ponyboy said.
“That ain't a TV.”
Steve pointed toward the wall. “There's no buttons.”
Johnny was still staring around the room.
Then he noticed something.
A photograph.
His face.
Johnny slowly walked toward it.
Ponyboy followed his gaze.
His own face was on the wall too.
Then Soda saw himself.
Two-Bit saw himself.
Darry.
Steve.
Dally.
The entire gang stood frozen, staring at a bedroom completely covered with pictures of themselves.
Dally slowly looked around.
“Okay,” he muttered. “This is officially the weirdest place I've ever been.”
From downstairs came the sound of the girl walking toward the stairs.
The Greasers all turned toward the door.
Two-Bit whispered, “Uh... anybody wanna explain this?”
Nobody answered.
