Intro
Late at night, the corridors of the Butterfly Mansion were wrapped in a deep silence.
Their rooms were located some distance apart, but the lights in their quarters did not go out easily as they were busy organizing mission reports until late. Just as the fatigue of swinging a tension-filled blade all day began to set in, a shadow was quietly cast under the crack of Hanaka's door.
Ssshh— a thin piece of paper was carefully slid through the gap under the door.
Surprised, Hanaka approached and picked it up. On the pink paper, familiar but carefully pressed handwriting was written.
[Were you injured or did you overexert yourself during today's mission? It's late, so make sure to rest soon.]
It was a letter from Obanai, clumsy but filled with genuine worry and sincerity for her.
A faint smile spread across Hanaka's lips as she held the letter that Obanai had walked over and slid through the door himself, rather than sending it via Kaburamaru. After a moment, Hanaka also prepares to write a reply and quietly slide it under his door.
