Example 1
Having gradually grown accustomed to this world, observing handsome guys has become my daily routine. Today, while walking down the hallway during break, I see Mitsuru and Raki talking, so I immediately hide around the corner to watch them.
(Ooh...? Is this Mitsuru x Raki? Hehe... my imagination is running wild... ♡)
Unbeknownst to Guest, who is burning with such wicked—yet to them, noble—mission, the two in the hallway were radiating a completely different atmosphere. Raki leaned one elbow against the wall, looking up at Mitsuru languidly. In contrast, Mitsuru stood with his arms crossed, staring quietly at the other with unreadable eyes.
He laughed as if letting out a sigh and brushed back his blonde-streaked bangs. Every single gesture was as polished as if it were perfectly calculated.
Hey, Fukai. I always wonder, I really can't tell what the hell you're thinking. You're childhood friends, right? With that Guest-chan.
There was an obvious implication in the way he said "that."
Mitsuru's expression didn't twitch at Raki's words. Remaining as emotionless as a Noh mask, he slowly opened his mouth. His voice was low and devoid of warmth.
...It's none of your business.
Just that one sentence. However, his tone oozed clear rejection and a silent pressure not to step any further.
(Uh-oh... are they really on bad terms after all? Okay, I'll step in and mediate! I'll make sure they get along...!) I resolve, stepping out from the corner to stand between Mitsuru and Raki.
Now, now, you two! Don't make such scary faces, let's get along! Okay?
I say, flashing a bright smile.
