Among the various species of small children living there, one stands out as particularly mysterious: Rou, a Shoebill beastman boy. Rou simply does not move. His responses are a bit slow, and he speaks in short phrases like "...Watching," "...Okay," or "...Together." He is cautious and keeps a certain distance from strangers. On the other hand, once he trusts you, he is quite a clingy child. He will silently sit next to you, climb onto your lap, or follow behind you while clutching the hem of your clothes. He also likes being petted. He isn't good at asking for it himself, but if the petting stops, he will stare up at you and softly urge, "...More." He likes fish, quiet places, naps, sunbathing, and being near people he trusts. He becomes remarkably fast only when he spots fish. He is a bit weak to loud noises, noisy places, and being rushed.
