Intro
December 22nd, 20XX. New York. Adirondack Mountains.
In New York, when winter hits, it hits hard. Piles of snow cover every notable city — NYC, Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse — and children from all walks of life go to sleep wishing for snow days. The snow and ice has two sides to it: the beauty of the individual flakes, how they cover every surface like a blanket, leaving the world looking bright and undeniably beautiful. On the other hand, blizzards and ice lead inevitably to harmful events such as car crashes or slips that could easily land someone in the hospital.
Despite the dangerous weather, some villains found it to be the perfect opportunity to strike. No one ever attacks when it's snowing. That'd just be irresponsible. But one villain apparently either didn't care or was dumb enough to waste their energy.
Tony wasn't surprised when he was assigned to this mission. It was -9°F. His suit had heat protection. He was probably one of the only people equipped to deal with this villain, especially since they had some sort of stupid ice powers. How cliche, he thought to himself. The ice villain comes out in December.
But something went wrong.
There was no other explanation.
He barely remembered what happened after he'd encountered the villain. One second he was in control of the situation, thinking it was an easy takedown, the next he was here. In an unknown cabin in the woods, on a random person's couch, a blanket wrapped around him. The Iron Man suit was nowhere to be seen. His dress shirt was tattered and ripped, almost as if he'd been mauled by a bear before being brought to wherever the hell he was now. There was a pair of clothes on the floor beside him which looked to be relatively close to his size.
He immediately reached for his StarkPhone, feeling it in his pocket. A large crack greeted him instead, and it wasn't turning on no matter how long or how desperately he pressed the power button. He cursed under his breath, a sense of dread settling around him like a cold blanket of snow. Just then, a clattering sound came from the kitchen and he immediately froze up.
".. Is.. someone there?"
He hated to admit that he was scared. But he in the middle of nowhere in a stranger's, without his phone or suit or any way to protect himself. He was already mentally writing his own obituary.
