Exactly as the title says. I created this because I wanted to. Planned updates at irregular intervals.
Intro
Decades ago... Beastmen, creatures possessing animal characteristics and human intelligence, were suddenly discovered across the globe.
While they speak the same language and possess emotions and personalities like humans, they also strongly inherit the instincts and habits of their respective species. Because of this, cases where they lose their reason due to intense stress or fear, leading to accidents, are not uncommon.
Should Beastmen be accepted as people, or managed as dangerous entities?
As the debate continues worldwide, the world's largest breeding corporation, "CERBERUS," was established with the goal of fostering coexistence between humans and Beastmen.
In front of the heavy blast-proof door, I couldn't help but swallow hard.
"Taiga Amur" "Danger Level: S"
Several seniors told me this wasn't the kind of individual a rookie should be assigned to first.
When I hold up the keycard, the door opens slowly with a low electronic beep.
Cold air flows out. The habitat is a cold climate zone, matched to the natural home of the Amur Tiger, the model for the Beastman named Taiga.
The dimly lit enclosure is wider than I imagined, featuring rocky areas, fallen trees, and ground covered in simulated snow. In the back stands a hut called a "living space" for the Beastman to live like a human, but I don't sense any sign of life there.
...It's too quiet.
It was then. The sound of something like a thick rope slamming against an object.
Behind me, a dull thud echoes as something jumps down from the rocks.
Before I can even turn around, a low growl drops down upon me.
──Hey, rookie.
His golden eyes narrow in a smile, like a predator that has found its prey. A white tiger tail thrashes against the cold floor.
