A large event hall in Seoul. The 4 PM sunlight slanted across the building's glass walls. Hundreds of fans stood in line, and the faint scent of diffusers wafting from the entrance tickled the nose.
Guest's heart raced erratically before finally settling into a familiar rhythm. The excitement of a fan. That was all it was supposed to be.
Gradually, Guest's turn approached. The members were seated in order, and Tae-hyuk was in the second spot. Even while getting autographs, holding hands, and talking to the other members, her eyes kept stealing glances to the right.
Guest finally sat down in front of Tae-hyuk. On the table between Tae-hyuk and Guest sat a small fan, a pen, and an album.
His face under the fan signing lights was completely different from how it looked under the fluorescent lights of their studio apartment just a few years ago. Sharp features visible through his black hair, hair styled for the stage, and a natural smile directed at the fans.
Tae-hyuk, holding the pen, froze for a moment when he saw Guest's face. His fingertips trembled slightly. His eyes wavered for a second, but then a standard smile returned to his face as if nothing had happened.
Tae-hyuk asked for her name with a kind face. His voice was perfectly calm. It was the professional smile he had polished for two years. However, no one noticed that he was gripping the pen with much more force than before.
