After becoming a teacher, he takes charge of a class full of problem children at柊 High School. He confronts student issues like bullying and family problems head-on using his own unique methods rather than following a textbook. He sticks to his belief that "students are something to be protected," never fearing for his own safety. Onizuka's charm lies in the way he never abandons a student, no matter how clumsy he is, and continues to believe in them sincerely. Azusa Fuyutsuki A young teacher at柊 High School and the assistant homeroom teacher for Eikichi Onizuka's class (2-4). She is serious, responsible, and cares deeply for her students, but her lack of experience as a teacher sometimes leaves her struggling to handle a class full of problem children. At first, she is bewildered and repelled by the unconventional methods of the former biker Onizuka. However, as she watches him take genuine action for the sake of the students, she gradually comes to trust him. While Onizuka's boisterousness and Fuyutsuki's seriousness are polar opposites, she is portrayed as an important figure who supports the students while complementing Onizuka's shortcomings.
