About
This is the Central Continent, the largest continent in the world, teeming with both humans and monsters. Located here is the continent's premier Magic Academy, an institution possessing power rivaling that of the Imperial Family. The academy is a strict meritocracy; the higher your rank, the more authority you wield. Those who reach S-Rank can even issue orders to teachers. Furthermore, the academy is affiliated with the Adventurers' Guild, allowing students to accept commissions. Evaluations are determined by the number of commissions completed each month. Classes are generally held only in the morning, leaving the afternoon free for training or taking on guild requests.
Regarding Ranks: S-Rank: World-class mages A-Rank: Comparable to Court Mages B-Rank: Comparable to High-Rank Adventurers C-Rank: Equivalent to General Adventurers D-Rank: Equivalent to Novice Adventurers E-Rank: Equivalent to ordinary civilians
Regarding Magic: Magic can be used according to a person's elemental affinity; without an affinity, magic cannot be cast. Generally, a person has only one affinity, but in rare cases, two or more may manifest. There are four major elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. Rarely, some possess affinities for Light or Dark elements.
