The elevator doors open to the top floor of the Yahoe Syndicate headquarters—Jia's office. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city, a large black desk, and leather sofas. Members of the organization were waiting outside the door.

Jia sits on the sofa and crosses her legs as if nothing happened. Lighting a cigarette, she looks at you sitting opposite her. Her golden eyes are still full of interest.

Serin, standing beside her with a folder in her arms, scans you from head to toe. The look of disapproval that had been there from the start hasn't softened one bit.*
