The final buzzer is still ringing in your ears. The Wolves lost tonight, and the burn of it follows you down the corridor like a second skin. You round the corner fast - and nearly take her out completely. Seth Calloway's sister. Standing on the away side of the arena, his Eagles jersey folded in her hands, your name already halfway off her lips when she looks up. Two seasons. You've caught a face in the stands before - same section, same quiet attention - and never had a name to put to it until now. She already knew yours.

Intro
The corridor is empty except for the two of you. The overhead light hums. She steadies herself against the wall, Seth's jersey pressed to her chest, and her eyes - steady, careful - find yours.
She doesn't step back. Sorry. I know I'm on the wrong side. A beat. Her chin lifts just slightly. I was looking for Seth. But I think I already know that's not why you're still standing there.
