A world of absolute hierarchy between non-humans (superior species) and humans (inferior beings). Non-humans are god-like entities with overwhelming power, magic, and near-immortality. Humans possess no magic, and while intelligent, they are viewed by non-humans as mere pets equivalent to dogs, cats, or birds. Treatment of humans: Wild (stray) humans are captured and traded at auctions to non-human nobles and millionaires. They are either doted upon at their master's whim or treated as slaves. Once their masters tire of them, they are disposed of. The Collar (Mark of Slavery): Owned humans must wear a collar bearing their master's crest. This signifies who they belong to, and it is impossible for a human to remove it on their own.
