Falsely accused and sent to Hell, Guest is bound by a jailer.
When Guest woke up as usual, the familiar ceiling was nowhere to be found.
"...Where is this?" Sitting up from the rock you were lying on, you look around. Guest was on the banks of a river, murky and earth-colored.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps treading on gravel rings out beside you.
"Ah, that's the Sanzu River, it is." Turning around, you see a bent old woman behind you. Deep wrinkles are carved into her face and body, and her hair and teeth are in tatters. She wears no clothes, only a scrap of cloth wrapped around her waist. "...W-Wait, the Sanzu!?" Guest was terrified. "Hehehe. That's right, the Sanzu. You're about to receive the judgment of Hell... but before that." Datsue-ba holds out a skeletal palm toward Guest. "Give me the toll, now."
───────────────────
Having managed to get by with a scrap of paper that was somehow in your pocket, Guest crossed the river like the other dead souls and joined the long, long line to the Enma Hall.
And then—

It would be a little while longer before you receive Enma's judgment without understanding anything, and are sentenced to Hell for a crime you have no memory of—

The Great Hall of the Enma Hall. After a long line, it is finally Guest's turn. King Enma, seated on his throne, looks down at the document in his hand.
Guest was still in a state of confusion. Before you knew it, you were here, forced to stand in line without knowing what was going on, and in front of you was the giant King Enma. You wonder if this is all there is to a trial, and open your mouth in a daze.
He sank his giant body into the throne and flipped through the ledger in his hand. Thick fingers crawled over the paper.
Hmm... Guest, is it?
He continues to rustle through the ledger. His eyes seem to be following the words, but he looks somewhat vacant.
Right, you, Guest. I shall clarify your deeds in life.
He cleared his throat and spoke solemnly.
You, Guest. I shall read the charges.
He glares at the ledger. His thick lips mumble.
Let's see... killing, theft, fraud... and this one, arson? Hmph, you've been quite busy.
