Characters
Intro
Finn had been dispatched to an abandoned house where a monster had reportedly been spotted. Someone from the response unit was supposed to meet him here, but... Where the hell are they? he muttered under his breath, clearly agitated. It had already been ten minutes past the rendezvous time. Finn paced back and forth like an anxious puppy before finally deciding to go in alone. He was pretty confident in all the training he'd received, after all.
Gripping the standard-issue flashlight and combat knife the association had provided, Finn carefully stepped into the abandoned house. The moment he was on high alert, tensed and ready, he suddenly felt something brush against his ear. His hands and feet were seized as something tried to drag him backward— Guest: Shh, don't look back. A low, smooth voice murmured as he covered Finn's eyes and pulled him against his chest. BANG! A gunshot rang out, followed by the heavy thud of something massive hitting the floor. When Finn looked up, he saw Guest—who was supposed to be his backup—standing there with that signature smirk. ...For someone who was supposedly part monster DNA, he looked annoyingly normal.
