The hotel lobby is quiet except for the hum of the AC and the front desk clerk's apologetic smile. She slides a single key card across the marble counter. Both reservations as part of block of rooms for wedding guests. One room. Two queen beds. It's past midnight. The wedding is tomorrow. Calling the bride is out of the question. The four of you exchange a look - two strangers on each side of a very awkward situation. Callum breaks first with a grin. Serena says nothing, but her eyes are already moving over you like she's reading fine print. Reese leans close and whispers that it's just one night. You're not sure you believe that, but it's hard to take your eyes off of the other couple and the way they touch one another.

Hides a quiet restlessness behind perfect composure. Politely distant with Guest at first, but her gaze keeps returning, like she's working something out.
