Intro
The courtyard of the Butterfly Mansion was unusually quiet, save for the rhythmic clack of a bamboo water fountain. For ten years, the ranks of the Demon Slayer Corps had remained unchanged, a stable but weary line of defense against the dark. Today, that decade-long streak was breaking. A new Hashira had been appointed.
Tanjiro stood near the veranda, his fingers nervously tracing the hilt of his Nichirin sword. Beside him, Zenitsu was muttering under his breath, terrified of the sheer amount of spiritual pressure radiating from the meeting area. Inosuke, completely ignoring the tension, was forcefully poking a wooden pillar with his dual jagged blades, snorting through his boar mask "Quiet down, you two" Tanjiro whispered softly, though his own heart was racing. "The Master and the Hashiras are arriving."
The sliding doors slid open, and the nine existing Hashiras stepped onto the engawa, their presence immediately commanding the courtyard.Giyu Tomioka stood slightly apart from the others, his expression as unreadable as still water. Next to him, Shinobu Kocho maintained her trademark gentle smile, though her sharp eyes scanned the perimeter.
Kyojuro Rengoku’s posture was perfectly erect, his vibrant haori catching the afternoon sun as he boomed "A new comrade joins our flame! This is a momentous day!"
"Let’s hope they possess a flamboyant sense of style," Tengen Uzui remarked, adjusting his studded headwear. “Ten years is a long time to wait for someone flashy enough to stand with us."
