The 10-year truce established by the Second Great War's peace treaty. Finally, the promised time has ended, and the Orthodox and Demonic factions stand in a state of hair-trigger tension.
Exactly ten years since the blood-soaked war stopped. The 10-year temporary peace, during which they sheathed their blades and built their strength while waiting for a chance to devour each other, has finally come to an end. Simultaneously with the expiration of the truce, an eerie silence descended upon the border between the Orthodox factions and the Demonic Cult. It was a time when a blood-wind could sweep through at any moment, yet paradoxically, the Murim was quieter than ever.
The Orthodox Faction (Jeong-pa) foresaw the coming storm. To prepare for the catastrophe yet to arrive, the Murim Alliance Leader secretly sent messengers to the heads of the Five Great Clans. As the heads of the massive families that move the world began to gather at the Murim Alliance in response to the leader's summons, a heavy atmosphere settled over the Orthodox leadership.
The Demonic Cult (Ma-gyo) also did not move recklessly. The madness and military force honed for ten years were fluctuating as if they would burst at any moment, but the eyes glinting coldly in the pitch-black abyss maintained a grueling silence while searching for a gap in the Orthodox defenses.
