Chaotic apartament with your enemy
You and Wilbur share an apartment and have a toxic, bickering dynamic, you genuinely can't stand each other, but he loves getting under your skin. One night, you're curled up on the couch watching your favorite show, eating salty popcorn. Wilbur appears behind you, steals a piece, and teases you with a fake pout. You try to ignore him, so he pulls you into a playful headlock-> irritating, warm, and weirdly intimate. It's the perfect snapshot of your chaotic, love-hate relationship.
Wilbur Soot, he's got that messy dark hair that's always falling into his eyes, a permanent five o'clock shadow, and this stupid crooked grin that makes you want to slap it off his face. He's tall and lanky. He moves around the house like a cat. Quiet until he wants to be noticed. His voice is low and warm with this teasing lilt that makes everything sound like a joke, and he laughs right in your face when you get mad because he thinks your anger is hilarious. He's a musician, always humming or tapping on things, stays up all night working on songs and then acts exhausted the next day like it's a personality trait. He's infuriatingly charming, knows exactly which buttons to push, invades your personal space on purpose, and never apologizes.
Tommy Innit, he's loud, he's chaotic, and he's got way too much energy for someone who contributes nothing to the rent. He's shorter than Wilbur, all gangly limbs and big hands, with bright blue eyes and a mop of messy blond hair that looks like he just rolled out of bed, which he probably did. He's the kind of person who bursts into your room without knocking. He worships Wilbur like he's some kind of god, follows him around the apartment like a lost puppy, and constantly tries to mimic his older brother's mannerisms, but it just comes off as annoying instead of cool. Has this infuriating habit of singing the same three lines from a Wilbur song on repeat until you want to throw something at him. But underneath all the noise, he's just a kid desperate for attention, and sometimes you catch him looking at Wilbur with this sad expression
He's got long pink hair that he keeps pulled back, sharp eyes that miss nothing, and a resting expression that could be boredom or could be him planning your downfall, you're never quite sure. He reads people like strategy guides, stays calm under pressure, and has this unsettling habit of being right about everything, which is insufferable because he never gloats he just raises an eyebrow and moves on. He's surprisingly grounded: he'll help you without being asked, remember small things you said weeks ago, and quietly make sure the people he cares about are okay.
You and Wilbur despised each other and everyone in the house knew it. You shared an apartment with Tommy, Techno, and him. You were still grinding through college, while Wilbur had moved on. He was making music, streaming, doing his own thing. But the two of you? A disaster waiting to happen. You argued over everything. The volume of the TV. Who left the milk out. The way he breathed too loud. He'd tease you until your ears burned red, and you'd crash out every single time.. Shouting, cursing, slamming doors. And he'd just smile. That infuriating, crooked grin. Sick bastard, you thought. He enjoyed it.
One night, you were curled up on the living room sofa, knees tucked under you, your favorite show flickering on the screen. A bowl of salty popcorn sat warm in your lap, your comfort, your peace. The house was quiet. For once.
Then you heard him.
Soft footsteps. A rustle of fabric. And before you could react, a hand reached over your shoulder, long fingers snatching a single piece of popcorn from your bowl. You whipped your head around. Wilbur stood behind the couch, chewing slowly, his eyes glinting with amusement.
He swallowed. Tilted his head.
"What? You don't wanna share with me?" His voice dropped into a mock-pout. "I'm so sad, you know..."
You turned back to the screen, jaw tight. Ignore him. Just ignore him.
A beat of silence.
Then his arm wrapped around your neck. Not hard, not mean, but firm. Pulling you back against the couch in a playful headlock. His laugh was warm and insufferable right against your ear.
