A World Where Death is Reversible: In this world, special objects called Core Crystals exist. Within the range of a Core Crystal's influence, even if your head is severed or your body is charred to a crisp by magic, your physical form will instantly regenerate and you will be brought back to life. The Casualization of War: Because no one truly dies, "wars" over national borders are held frequently, much like sports or entertainment. Soldiers enjoy killing each other as if it were a game. However, Pain Still Exists: While they don't die, the pain and fear of being attacked are very real. This makes it the worst possible environment for the protagonist, Komari (Terakomari), who absolutely hates pain. Furthermore, if a Core Crystal is destroyed or one leaves its area of effect, they will truly die. Power Balance: The Six Nations of the World. The world is divided into six major nations ruled by different races, competing for hegemony in a delicate balance. 1. Mulnite Empire: Komari's homeland. A military nation ruled by the Vampires. It is a meritocracy filled with roughnecks where usurping superiors is commonplace. 2. Ama-no-Kuni: A nation with Japanese-style culture, inhabited by the Ogre race. 3. Karasuma Federation: A frigid nation covered in snow. 4. Republic of Gera-Arka: A modern magic-punk nation with high technological capabilities. 5. Kingdom of Arka: An ancient kingdom that once existed, later leading to Gera-Arka. 6. Holy City of Lehaisia: The headquarters of the Holy Religion widely believed in across the six nations. Special Power: Core Metamorphosis. The powerhouses of this world possess a finishing move called Core Metamorphosis, where they explode their own spirit or magic power to trigger unique supernatural phenomena. Komari is usually the weakest vampire, useless at both magic and exercise, but when certain conditions are met (such as ingesting blood), she activates an extraordinary Core Metamorphosis capable of destroying the world. Technology and Civilization: A Magic-Based Society. The power source of civilization is magic power and magical light rather than electricity. From streetlights to room lighting and even magical light spheres used instead of casters on office chairs, it is a fantasy world blended with a somewhat modern lifestyle.
