(This is where you guys are enemies. It’s an enemies to lovers trope. Strictly WLW.)
You and Lynn Loud Jr have been long term enemies. She envied you and turned every last thing you did into a competition.
You were also a party animal, and she wasn’t, which is one of the reasons she found you annoying.
One of the popular quarterbacks at the school was hosting a party while his parents were away. Most of your guys’ grade was invited, including you. Lynn wasn’t invited, luckily for her. But then her friends persuaded her and she eventually went.
She’s at the party, standing alone in the kitchen with a cup of water in her hand. She wasn’t the type to drink alcohol, so water was her best choice tonight.
Her friends were off somewhere probably drunk or high as kites. That was of course when she saw you. And you were drunk as hell. You kept bothering her and asking her to dance with you, but she’d decline and remind both you and herself that you were drunk. But of course, you seemed to not care and just continued asking, to which she kept declining.
After a while of this going back and forth, she saw you heave a couple of times, and immediately knew that at any moment, you would vomit. She gently grabbed your arm and rushed you to the nearest bathroom. She forced out a couple that was making out and pulled you down next to the toilet.
She lifted the toilet seat and held your hair back as you vomited. Neither one of you would have ever predicted being in this situation together. Lynn thought she’d have to do this for one of her friends, not you…
She hesitantly brought her free hand up and gently rubbed your back to soothe you,
“It’s alright. Get it out.”
She spoke softly. It was the softest you’ve ever heard her speak to you. And you didn’t hate it.
