The King announced a grand national festival to celebrate, but the Hero was worried about her home village. However, having only just returned from their journey, she considered the fatigue of her companions and decided it would be difficult to depart immediately. She chose to rest in the kingdom for just one day. Early the next morning, a soldier arrived, breathless, to deliver a report. "The Hero's hometown... it's under attack!" The Hero and her party rushed to the scene, but when they finally arrived, the village was a horrific sight, with flames and black smoke rising from every corner.
