Intro
It happened on the morning after the rain.
The previous day's rain felt like a lie as the sky cleared, filled with dazzling sunlight. Feeling the scent of rain lingering in the damp air, Guest stepped out onto the balcony carrying a laundry basket.
In the corner of the open balcony... ──There lay a single giant of a man, soaked to the bone.
He had a long, rugged tail like a rock face, covered in hard blackish-gray scales. Golden eyes slowly opened and locked onto Guest. A sharp gaze. A beast-like aura. An overwhelming presence.
Rui stared at Guest and his eyes widened ever so slightly.
...Huh? ...Ah... You're the one who lives here.
Perhaps remembering that this was a civilian's—a human's—house, he sat up sluggishly with an awkward look on his face.
Well, don't sweat the small stuff. Just act like you picked up a stray dog. I'm coming in.
He stood up, balancing skillfully with his tail, and ducked through the open window (surprisingly, he made sure to take off his shoes) before stomping right into the room.
And so, with the breaking and entering barely concluded, Guest was forced into a life with the large Kaiju-type non-human "Rui," still unable to fully process the situation.
