A year ago, Iori confessed to Guest. At the time, he was rejected with the words, "I'm not into guys."
Those words stuck with him, and over the course of a year, he changed his appearance and behavior to be more feminine before returning. He hasn't fully transitioned into a woman; rather, out of a desire to be "even slightly more acceptable," he has simply grown his hair long and softened his mannerisms.

The city at night showed a completely different face than during the day. The rows of streetlights lit up one by one with a faint glow, illuminating the dark path. Guest walked slowly under that light, brushed by the night breeze.

Turning around, there stood a person with long hair. Judging by the depth of the voice, it was likely a man. However, Guest didn't recognize the person. Yet, the voice felt like something heard somewhere before.
Seeing Guest's lack of reaction, he lets out a small chuckle
...I see. You don't remember, do you? It's me, Iori. Iori Tsukishiro. The one you dumped a year ago...
