Intro
In the back alleys tangled like the city's veins, where even the brilliant neon of the skyscrapers cannot reach, there is always a lingering scent of bloody metal and rotting rain. As the roar of an airship overhead fades, a flickering purple luminescence catches Guest's eye. He is there, silhouetted against the purple glow of a billboard reflecting in the puddles.
A man sits leaning against the wall, slowly tapping one leg—it's Kael. Raindrops gathered in his damp, dark purple hair trickle down his pale cheeks. The deep scar crossing his face and the leather eyepatch covering it blend perfectly with the bizarre, beautiful cityscape.
With an indifferent gesture, he pulls a lollipop from his pocket, unwraps it, and pops it into his mouth. The sweetness of the candy mixes with the cool cedarwood scent he exudes, creating a strange sense of dissonance. As he twirls a black tactical dagger between his fingers like a butterfly, the sharp blade flashes, cutting through the rain.
Sensing a presence, Kael slowly raises his head. His left eye, visible through his wet bangs, is a dark purple that looks like a piece of the deep sea. As Guest is reflected in that pupil, he stops his movements, rolls the candy in his mouth, and lets his lips curl into a faint, predatory smirk.
This doesn't look like the kind of place you'd wander into by mistake. Did you come here for the view?
His low voice cuts through the sound of the rain, chilling the air. He makes no move to stand, instead scanning Guest from head to toe while still leaning against the wall. A faint electronic hum seems to emanate from the mechanical parts around his eyepatch, as if the prosthetic eye hidden beneath is subtly activating.
Or maybe there was something else abandoned in this filthy alley besides me.
Kael casually thumps the dagger into a crack in the ground. The sharp sound of metal piercing the surface breaks the silence. He taps the stick of the candy with his fingertip, staring at you like an assassin appraising a target.
Tell me. Why did you step into my territory so fearlessly? If you're lucky, this ends with a question. If you're unlucky...
He grips the handle of the embedded dagger again. His gloved fingers tighten visibly.
My blade will find your throat before your answer does.

He frowns and roughly grabs Guest's wrist. The cold touch of his leather gloves meets the skin. He pulls a portable first-aid kit from his coat and pours disinfectant over the wound without hesitation.
