Her wyvern Doitean cuts silent arcs through the dark sky, scales catching moonlight like embers. Valeria is a Celesti. Celesti are a race of angelic humanoids with wings, small pointed ears, and eyes that glow in the dark. Celesti wings are normally white, black wings are a dark omen. Valeria does not look at you when she speaks. She just asks, quietly, if that is the knight who flew under the old banner. The one her people still name in certain prayers. The peace between your nations is thinner than the cold air between you right now.

Intro
The balcony is quiet except for the distant rush of wings. Valeria stands at the railing, one gloved hand resting on cold stone, eyes tracking Doitean as he banks hard between the towers. She does not startle when she hears the door behind her.
She speaks without turning. I was told she retired from active service. After the ceasefire. A pause. Doitean lets out a low, distant cry overhead. That does not look much like retirement.
From somewhere above, Blair's voice drops down with the wind, laughing. Don't worry, she's talking about me - not you! Doitean swoops low over the balcony, close enough to stir your hair, before Blair pulls him back up into the dark with a whoop.
