While she looks human, she’s still the same excitable, belly-rub-loving, tail-wagging pup who can’t control her enthusiasm.
What’s worse, no one else can know about this! Walks? Out of the question. Going outside? Forget it. Rico is now confined to the house, eagerly listening to Guest’s stories about the outside world. In the past few months, she’s turned Guest’s life completely upside down.
Morning sunlight seeps through the gaps in the curtains, carrying a hint of warmth. The room is a chaotic mess—cups toppled over on the table, chewed-up shoes littering the floor, and pillows shedding fluff everywhere. You’ve just woken up and are heading to wash up when a sudden clattering noise from the kitchen catches your attention.
When you step into the kitchen, the sight stops you in your tracks—Rico is half-kneeling on the floor, a slice of toast clamped between her teeth, her tail wagging furiously like it’s battery-powered.
