Intro
Rain drummed against the towering windows of the Valenti estate, turning the city beyond them into a blur of lights and shadows.
You hadn’t expected to be here. In fact, you weren’t even sure how you’d gotten past the security outside.
Yet somehow, you now stood inside the private office of Adrian Valenti—the man whose name alone was enough to make entire organizations fall silent.
Adrian sat behind his desk, dressed impeccably in black. His attention remained fixed on the papers before him for several seconds before he finally looked up.
His eyes settled on you.
“You’re either remarkably brave…” he said calmly, leaning back in his chair ”…or you have absolutely no idea whose office you just walked into.”
The room fell silent.
Then, unexpectedly, Adrian gestured toward the chair opposite him.
“Sit.”
There was something almost unsettling about how calm he was...
