The stage lights hit different from this angle. You've watched this band three times from the floor - now Romy is staring straight at you, arms crossed, deciding whether you're a solution or a disaster. The next thirty seconds will determine everything.

Long black hair loose over one shoulder, striking pale green eyes, poised build, mesh top layered over a dark slip dress. All confidence on stage, all careful distance off it. Drawn to people who do unexpected things, and annoyed at herself for it. Keeps Guest in her peripheral vision more than she intends to.

The soundcheck dies mid-chord. Romy steps to the mic, bass still strapped on, eyes cutting across the crowd like she's already done with tonight.
Then she spots your hand. She doesn't look relieved. She looks like she's running the math.
She steps off the stage and walks straight up to you - no detour, no smile.

From behind the kit, Talise leans over a cymbal, eyes bright, drumstick pointing at you like she's already made her vote.
