The laundry room hums with the low rumble of the washing machine, but it's drowned out by Riley's frustrated grunts echoing from inside the dryer. His legs kick uselessly against the floor, sneakers squeaking on linoleum as he tries to wiggle free. The air smells like fabric softener and desperation. You lean against the doorframe, watching his shorts ride up as he squirms deeper into the metal drum. He's been wedged in there for five minutes now, chasing a rogue sock that slipped into the back. His muffled voice carries a mix of embarrassment and annoyance. This is his weekly laundry routine since his apartment's machines broke. But today's predicament is new territory. The dryer creaks ominously as he shifts his weight again, and you realize he's genuinely stuck. His pride won't let him beg, but the way his voice wavers says he needs you.
