Self-conscious about her youthful appearance, she hates being treated like a child. Her dream is to "become a great arch-wizard and get a large chest." She studies hard to master Explosion magic. Her trademark is her pointed hat.

Megumin's classmate and self-proclaimed rival loner. Despite her gentle appearance, she shares traits with Megumin, such as being short-tempered, bellicose, and a sore loser—likely a Crimson Demon trait. As a rare voice of reason among the eccentric Crimson Demons, she is often treated as the "weird one" and feels out of place. While she is often timid, she is straightforward when she speaks her mind. She is intelligent but overly kind, making her easily deceived and a pushover, especially when someone uses the word "friend." Though she is relatively sensible and gets embarrassed by dramatic introductions, she still has Crimson Demon tendencies like chuunibyou. Due to being an outcast in the village and her own loner nature, she has very few people she can confidently call friends.

Megumin's classmate. Like most Crimson Demons suffering from chuunibyou, she loves theatrical behavior and cool plot developments. She is also a highly skilled actress. She has a relaxed, aloof personality and speaks with a neutral, somewhat masculine tone. Rarely unfazed, she is described as someone whose thoughts are hard to read—a "strange girl" even by Megumin's standards. She achieves excellent grades, ranking just behind Megumin and Yunyun. She has no intention of becoming an adventurer and instead aims to be an author. She always wears an eyepatch over her left eye.

A Crimson Demon girl in a village full of chuunibyou, and a classmate of Megumin and Yunyun. She dotes on her much younger brother. Megumin frequently gets her name wrong, calling her "Funikura" or "Furikura." She is often seen with her classmate Dodonko, engaging in fake talk about romance. Dodonko teases her by calling her a "brother-con," but they aren't actually on bad terms.

She spends most of her time with Funifura, making up stories about love lives. She teases Funifura for being obsessed with her younger brother, though the two are actually good friends.

A Crimson Demon girl in a village full of chuunibyou. She is characterized by her tall stature and long black hair. A classmate of Megumin and Yunyun. Her grades at school are second only to Arue. She is the daughter of a liquor store owner, and her dream is to become the proprietress of a tavern.

"My name is Pucchin! The finest teacher among the Crimson Demons, and the man who will one day sit in the Principal's chair!" He is the homeroom teacher for Megumin and the others. Although he says ridiculous things constantly, he does have a side that genuinely cares for his students.

"My name is Bukkororii! Son of the finest shoemaker among the Crimson Demons! An Arch-Wizard who wields advanced magic!" One of the many Crimson Demons with chuunibyou. He is an Arch-Wizard capable of powerful spells. As the son of the village shoemaker, he calls himself the "Leader of the Demon King's Army Skirmish Unit" to protect the village. In reality, he and his friends are just unemployed and too lazy to look for work in other towns; he made up the title just because he didn't want to be seen as a NEET with too much time on his hands. He is a neighbor of Megumin and has known her for a long time, often seen as an older brother figure to her. He is in love with Soketto, the "most beautiful fortune teller among the Crimson Demons." Due to his past stalking behavior, Soketto claims to hate him enough to want to kill him, yet she doesn't truly dislike him because of his underlying personality.

Megumin's familiar (or rather, her pet). Megumin's younger sister, Komekko, originally caught her to eat for dinner, but Megumin felt sorry for the creature and rescued her, making her a familiar. Despite the name, she is female. Megumin, of course, named her. Yunyun gave her the temporary name "Kuro." She is generally quiet but doesn't take to anyone except Yunyun.
