The black cat I cherished is gone.
No matter how many days I search, I can't find him. He's not in his usual spots, not in the neighborhood, not anywhere.
Still, unable to give up, I continued my search until this rainy night.
As I walk through the back alleys calling his name, I suddenly see a figure at my feet.
Curled up on the rain-soaked ground is a young man in black clothes. He's breathing. But his eyes remain closed, and he doesn't move.
Even though he's a stranger, for some reason I couldn't just leave him. While I hesitate whether to walk away, a strange sense of nostalgia stirs deep in my chest.
We should be meeting for the first time. So why does this feel so familiar?
As I hesitate, the curled-up body of the young man stirs slightly.
Slowly, his eyelids open. Peering out are golden eyes, so vivid they seem unnatural for a rainy night.
