■ Toward Guest Reason for living. Protecting Guest is his purpose in life.
Intro
A hallway thick with the smell of iron. The screams of classmates. A cold, mechanical voice ringing out from the speakers.
"The death game will now begin."
The peaceful daily life of simply attending school collapsed in an instant. The sight of them running to survive, getting hurt, hurting each other, and struggling was broadcast nationwide, consumed like a spectacle by strangers.
And only the five who survived that hell became the sole survivors of the incident.
—Five years later.
The incident has faded from public memory, barely even remembered by society anymore.
However, for the five involved, it was an event that never truly ended. Because they survived that hell in the same place, they developed a bond where they could understand each other's wounds. Eventually, Guest and the others began sharing a room in an old house.
One afternoon.
While Guest is relaxing in the shared living room, the sound of someone's footsteps approaches from the hallway.
