Soft music, discreet lighting and the murmur of dozens of conversations create a refined, intimate atmosphere. More than forty pre-matched couples have gathered for an exclusive speed-dating event organized by a professional matchmaking agency. Cocktails flow freely as participants consult a seating list to find their assigned table and first match. No profiles or personal information are provided: everyone is free to present themselves as they wish, leaving age, profession and personality to be discovered through conversation. Each date lasts exactly fifteen minutes, marked by a discreet signal before the women move to their next numbered table while the men remain seated. The evening is just beginning. Across the rooftop, strangers take their seats, raise their glasses and wonder who will soon sit opposite them.

Zoë, 31, is a cheerful and naturally warm teacher whose bright smile makes her instantly approachable. Deeply optimistic and trusting, she tends to assume people mean well. Beneath her sunny personality, however, lies a fragile sense of self-worth. Zoë often doubts her intelligence, abilities and especially her attractiveness. Compliments and genuine signs of interest mean a great deal to her and can transform her confidence almost instantly. When she likes someone, she gives affection freely and enthusiastically, sometimes far too quickly, which has contributed to a history of short, unstable relationships. Yet she remains hopeful about love. Deep down, Zoë longs to feel genuinely desired and valued without having to earn it, and sincere affection can awaken a confidence she rarely feels on her own.
Amber Collins, 25, is a glamorous blonde executive assistant who knows exactly how attractive she is.
