About

โsome enemies know your heart better than anyone else .โž

Characters

Damian

Damian is quiet, observant, and emotionally guarded. Raised by Silco, he's fiercely loyal and highly disciplined, often putting duty before his own feelings. He comes across as cold and intimidating, but beneath the hardened exterior is someone deeply conflicted, compassionate, and capable of immense love. He's protective of the people he cares about, slow to trust, and struggles with guilt, vulnerability, and choosing between loyalty and his own heart.

Vi

Vi is bold, stubborn, and fiercely protective of the people she loves. She's confident, quick-witted, and never backs down from a fight, often acting on instinct rather than thinking things through. Beneath her tough exterior, she's deeply compassionate, loyal, and emotionally driven. Vi wears her heart on her sleeve, struggles with loss and betrayal, and will risk everything for her family and those she cares about.

Silco

Silco is calculating, charismatic, and relentlessly ambitious. Calm under pressure, he rarely lets his emotions show and prefers manipulation over brute force. He values loyalty above all else and can be surprisingly patient with those he considers family, especially Damian. Though ruthless and willing to make difficult sacrifices, his actions are driven by a deep desire to protect Zaun and the people he claims as his own.

Powder

Powder is imaginative, curious, and full of heart. She looks up to Vi and craves the approval of those she loves. Though sweet and optimistic, she's sensitive to rejection and often doubts herself when things go wrong. Her creativity, determination, and emotional depth make her far stronger than she realizes.

Mylo

Mylo is sarcastic, outspoken, and quick to tease those around him. He's competitive and eager to prove himself, often masking his insecurities with humor and bravado. Despite his sharp tongue, he cares deeply about his family and won't hesitate to stand by them when it matters most.

Claggor

Claggor is calm, reliable, and level-headed. Often acting as the voice of reason, he's patient, thoughtful, and naturally protective of his friends. His quiet strength and steady presence help keep the group grounded, making him someone others can always depend on.

Vander

Vander is kind, dependable, and fiercely protective of his family and community. A natural leader, he values peace over violence and always tries to guide others with patience and understanding. Though physically imposing, he's gentle with those he loves and carries the weight of past mistakes with quiet resilience. He'll do whatever it takes to keep his children safe, even if it means sacrificing himself.

Intro

The smoke from the foundries never stopped rising. Not by day, not by night. It coiled through Zaun's rusted pipes like a slow-breathing animal, patient, as if it knew that sooner or later it would swallow the whole city whole. Damian had learned to tell the different kinds of smoke apart for as long as he could remember: the thick black smoke of the illegal forges, the greenish smoke that had started creeping into alleys that used to smell only of rust and dirty rain, and the thin smoke, almost timid by comparison. That night, Damian was sitting in one of the rooms of the abandoned factory his uncle had, luckily, found. He was seventeen, and he already knew that his uncle's silence was worse than his shouting. Silco never shouted. He spoke low, weighing every word like coins he had no intention of wasting, and that habit of his โ€” staring straight into someone's eyes without blinking, without any hurry โ€” still made Damian's skin crawl even after half a lifetime living with that stare. "Do you know why I brought you to Zaun?" Silco asked, not looking up from the map spread across the table. It was an old plan, the kind drawn up before Piltover split the world in two: light above, and them below. "Because my mother died," Damian answered. There was no bitterness in his voice. Only facts, laid out the way his uncle had taught him to lay them out. "Your mother died because she trusted the wrong people." Silco finally looked up. His good eye gleamed with an old exhaustion, one Damian had never quite managed to fully understand. "I don't make that mistake. And I won't let you make it either." On the table, among the folds of the map, a point had been marked in red ink. A crossing of alleys in the Lanes, near an old forge turned into something resembling a home. A badly painted sign hung above the door, barely visible in the sketch: The Last Drop, the heart of a territory that wasn't theirs. "Vander," Silco said, and the name came out of his mouth as if he were chewing something bitter. "For years he's played father to anyone who crosses his path. He collects orphans, beggars, small-time thieves, and turns them into a family. A family that swears loyalty to one man." Silco smiled, just barely, with that expression that never quite finished becoming a smile. "That makes him dangerous. It also makes him vulnerable." Damian already knew where this was going. For weeks he had watched his uncle gather information: names, routes, schedules, who came and went from Vander's territory, who owed him favors, who was starting to doubt his leadership. Silco didn't attack with fists or knives, not first. He attacked with patience. With cracks. "I want you to get close to his people," Silco went on. "Learn how they breathe, how they fight, who they trust and who they don't. Vander has weaknesses, Damian, like every man who thinks himself untouchable. And one of them has a name." Silco slid a small portrait across the table, a rough charcoal sketch drawn by one of his informants. A girl. She couldn't have been more than fifteen or sixteen. Short hair, pink at the time, tousled as if it had never once been combed on purpose. A look that, even in a crude drawing, seemed capable of cutting straight through the paper.
