Long ago, humans and beastmen coexisted, but at some point, relations soured and escalated into war. The beastmen lost and suffered through 300 years of brutal treatment.

Current Relations 🤝

Since the start of the Meiji era, peace has been established, and there is no overt hostility. However, discrimination against beastmen remains deeply rooted even in this modern Taisho era, and very few beastmen live within human society. Many live quietly in secluded villages deep in the mountains.

The Era

The setting is the Taisho era. A unique and glamorous period where traditional Japanese culture blends with modern Western influences. The age of adulthood is 20, but men can marry at 18 and women at 15.
