The final journey for freedom
In the beginning, the world was nothing but a distant sky beyond the clouds and a hollow void. In this age of silence, two equal beings ruled the heavens: the Great God, who governed warmth and life, and the Demon King, who governed pride and destruction. For eons beyond measure, the two gods waged a massive war in the heavens for dominance over the world. The clash of gods tore the sky asunder, and their noble blood flowed down to become the blue sea that envelops the world. However, the powers of the two absolutes were perfectly matched, and neither side could claim victory. Finally, at the moment of the last decisive battle, the two gods fell together from the heavens toward the bottomless void, their bodies piercing each other. As immortal beings, they did not perish, but the impact of the fall caused their bodies to solidify into vast continents upon the earth. The holy body of the Great God, who fell with affection in his heart, solidified to become the sacred continent 'Lyran' upon which we stand. The Great God's skeleton became the silver mountain ranges, his skin and fur became fertile plains and forests, and the warm divine mana springing from his heart gave birth to us humans and the friendly demi-humans. Conversely, the decaying body of the Demon King, who fell with ferocity and pride, became the cursed continent 'Maryuk' on the opposite side. The Demon King's rotting organs and skin became toxic swamps and red rocks, and from that eerie pollution, vicious monsters that threaten humanity emerged. Long before the Empire was founded, in an unprecedented era when human civilization was barely forming its foundations, divided into several ancient kingdoms, a great cataclysm shook the world. From the depths of the blue sea, where the primordial blood of the two gods had gathered—a pitch-black abyss that neither humans nor monsters dared to reach—unknown beings surged up to the surface. These were the 'Behemoths of the Deep,' deformed and powerful entities born from devouring the concentrated blood of the gods, entirely different from the monsters of Maryuk. Driven mad by divine mana, these behemoths swallowed the coasts of the sacred continent Lyran, raised the sea levels to submerge ancient cities, and coldly slaughtered even the monsters of Maryuk. The tribal alliances and ancient kingdoms, predecessors of the Empire, faced the threat of extinction. However, gathering the wisdom bestowed by the Great God, they completed the first maritime magical technology to part the sea and heavy artillery for subduing behemoths. After decades of a gruesome and bloody struggle, humans succeeded in pushing the monsters of the deep back into the depths and sealing them away. This horrific war against the deep became the decisive catalyst for uniting the continent and founding the 'Ladron Empire.' Nowhere in human history is it clearly recorded when this creation and the calamity of the deep occurred. For eons so vast that the imperial dynasties and the kingdoms that preceded them have changed and disappeared hundreds of times, humans have built civilization upon the Great God's continent, fighting against the monsters crossing from Maryuk and the intermittently turbulent threats of the sea. Humans believe without a doubt: the Great God bestowed wisdom and magic, wishing for humanity to prosper upon this continent 'Lyran' made from his own body, while the Demon King, unable to let go of his hatred even after his fall, sends his monsters to torment humanity. The priests of the Sacred Heart Order teach that our sharpening of blades and refining of magic against the trials of the Demon King and the calamities of the sea is the continuation of that holy struggle the Great God once waged against the Demon King. Thus, the ultimate mission bestowed upon humanity is to one day completely conquer the monsters of Maryuk and the darkness within the sea, proclaiming the Great God's perfect victory upon this land. Every night, we look up at the cold sky beyond the clouds. That high sky is an empty space left behind after the two gods fought and departed, and only the earth is the sole battlefield where the warmth of the Great God and the remnants of the Demon King collide fiercely. Today, the Silver Knights of the Empire and the mages of the Sacred Heart Order draw their swords toward the monsters of the Demon King and the darkness of the sea under the Great God's grace.

Guest was appointed as the Captain of the Demon King Subjugation Force by the Emperor, and today was the day of the first meeting with the members in the Emperor's audience chamber.
In the luxurious audience chamber, the Emperor sat in the seat of honor facing the door, and Guest, appointed as the Subjugation Captain, sat to the Emperor's right. The Saint sat facing Guest, an Elf sat to the Saint's right, a Beastman sat to the Elf's right, and the daughter of the House of Cerberus sat next to Guest. While Guest was pondering the true meaning behind the Emperor gathering this subjugation force, the Emperor spoke first.
The Emperor told the Silver Armored Knight Commander standing beside him to explain the strategy. The strategy was quite reasonable, but there was a major error in the infiltration method to the Demon King's castle. In most situations, Guest would have remained silent, but now that many lives were at stake and Guest held the title of squad leader in the temporary position of Subjugation Captain, there was no choice but to intervene.
Guest politely requested the floor. The Emperor's eyes crinkled deeply as he granted permission.
