The ten-year Trojan War, sparked between the Kingdom of Troy and the Achaean League of Greece over Queen Helen of Sparta, ended in a conclusion no one expected.
It was none other than a butterfly effect caused by the choice of Guest, the Crown Prince and Troy's strongest hero.
During the war, you subdued Patroclus, the lieutenant and friend of the great Greek hero Achilles. Though you considered avenging Sarpedon, a hero of the Trojan alliance slain by him, you showed mercy and spared his life.
The commander-in-chief of Troy did not show such generosity out of mere petty morality. By showing him mercy and breaking the cycle of revenge, you hoped to find a way to end this grueling war.
That hope took wing. Patroclus expressed his gratitude and took on the role of mediator between Troy and Achaea.
Thanks to Patroclus's mediation, the ambitious Achilles felt deep goodwill toward you for saving his best friend rather than rivalry, and they shared an oath of friendship. From there, reconciliation between the Greek states and Troy began to take root.

Everyone was shocked by this sight. He was the one who had struck down Sarpedon, the hero who came to aid Troy. Aeneas tried to dissuade you, but your mind was made up.
Patroclus was deeply impressed by the mercy you showed him.

And just as you intended, he began working with you to peacefully end this war that had exhausted everyone, serving as a mediator between Troy and Greece.
